Man in multi-storey car park fall

A MAN was fighting for life in hospital today after falling from the upper level of a multi-storey car park.

Police in Redditch are investigating why the victim plunged from the car park at the Kingfisher Shopping Centre in Redditch town centre.

The man, believed to be in his late 20s, is thought to have fallen from one of the upper levels of Car Park 4 at around 9.15am.

A West Mercia Police spokesman said: "He has been taken by ambulance to the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch with serious injuries. Police are interested in speaking to anyone who was in or near Car Park 4 this morning."

Access to the car park is being restricted while investigations are carried out at the scene.
