Man fights for life after street attack

A MAN was fighting for his life today after being repeatedly kicked in a brutal attack in West Bromwich.

Police today issued an urgent appeal for witnesses following the attack, which left the 44-year-old victim in a critical condition in hospital.

The man was found in the street in Ryders Green Road with a serious head injury at 10.15pm on Friday.

A passer-by found him after seeing another man standing over him and kicking him.

A police spokesman said: "The injured man was taken to hospital with a serious head injury. He is in a critical condition."

The man's suspected attacker was a slim, dark skinned white man in his mid 20s and of about 5ft 11in tall with short cropped hair. He was dressed in a short sleeved white T-shirt and dark trousers.
