A MAN repeatedly stabbed as he enjoyed a drink in a pub has undergone surgery to treat his injuries.
The 34-year-old victim was enjoying a drink in the Old Mill pub, Northfield, shortly before 11pm on Sunday when a man burst in an attacked him.
The fight spilled out onto the car park where the victim was knifed several times.
He lost a substantial amount of blood but his injuries are not life-threatening.
Police said the man underwent surgery yesterday and officers were hoping to visit him in hospital later today in a bid to find out more about the attack.
The knifeman was described as white, aged about 40, about 5ft 9ins, with light, mousy brown hair.
Det Insp Richard Mayhew, of Bournville Lane CID, said: "We are still making inquiries but still don't know the motive for the attack."
