Make a run for it with Sue Ryder

A CHARITY has places for Birmingham runners in the BUPA Great North Run in September.

Sue Ryder Care has 13 guaranteed spaces for the half marathon taking place in Newcastle-upon-Tyne on September 30.

But anyone interested needs to be quick off the mark as entries need to be in by Friday.

The charity raises money for people suffering from a variety of illnesses and conditions, including multiple sclerosis, Huntingdon's disease, Parkinson's disease and cancer.

It provides care at 15 centres nationwide, as well as through community-based services.

All runners will be given a fund-raising pack, sweatband and running vest, along with a professional training plan.

They will also benefit from in-house physiotherapists, providing support at the event.

Information packs are available by phoning 0207 400 0633 or emailing: events@suerydercare.org
