...'Til death us do part...

Goth couple Emma Piper and Boyd Sydenham on their wedding day.

GOOD Goth! Bride-to-be Emma Piper wanted to do something different at her wedding so she wore black and purple and rolled up at the register office in a hearse.

In fact, the only thing missing as Emma and Boyd Sydenham married in a wedding with a difference at Dudley on Saturday was Uncle Fester.

For Emma, aged 35, said "I do" to 46-year-old Boyd in true Addams Family-style at Priory Hall register office.

Wearing black lipstick, she took her vows dressed in a black and purple Victorian-styled costume and a black cathedral-length veil, also sporting a purple-stoned tiara.

Birmingham-born Boyd, a van driver, wore a black velvet jacket and purple cravat.

The couple, both bike enthusiasts, had 14 bridesmaids and attendants, with the older ones dressed in similar Gothic-styled costumes and the smaller ones in pixie outfits.

After the ceremony it was wedding photos amid the eerie ruins of the nearby priory.

The happy couple were then whisked off in their hearse for a reception for 180 guests at Coventry's Lime Tree Park Club complete with a disco and live band.

Emma said the couple, who own a three-wheel Honda Trike, first met just over a year ago at a motorbike rally in Birmingham and started planning the Gothic-styled wedding soon after.

The couple, from Tile Cross, Coventry, had wanted an historical venue and opted for Priory Hall.

"We wanted something a bit different and out of the ordinary," said Emma. "It did raise a few eyebrows."
