Triple murder suspect is remanded

A FORMER Birmingham man has appeared in court charged with the murders of a mother and her two children.

Pierre Williams, 32, is accused of murdering Beverley Samuels, 36, her 18-year-old daughter Kesha Wizzart and son Fred Wizzart, 13, at their home in Fallowfield, Manchester.

Williams, formerly of Selly Oak, appeared at Manchester Crown Court after he was charged with the murders last week.

The bodies of Mrs Samuels and her two children were discovered by a member of the public at their red-brick terrace house in Thelwall Avenue at about 7pm on July 12.

A post-mortem examination revealed all three had died of head injuries.

Mrs Samuels worked as a nurse at Manchester Royal Infirmary and was a friend of Williams.

Kesha had just completed her A-levels and had won a scholarship to study law at the University of Manchester.

Three years ago, aged 15, Kesha performed as Toni Braxton singing the ballad Unbreak My Heart on the junior version of the ITV talent show Stars In Their Eyes.

Williams appeared via a videolink and spoke only to confirm he understood proceedings.

He was ordered to reappear at court on October 31 for a plea and case management hearing. A provisional trial date was also set for February 19 next year.
