Jilted lover jumped to his death

A VOLUNTARY worker plunged to his death from a tower block after breaking up with his girlfriend, an inquest heard.

Paul Wade threw himself off the balcony of his flat at Bolton Court, Tipton, last November.

Black Country Coroner Robin Balmain recorded a suicide verdict after hearing Mr Wade, who was working with Community Transport in Sandwell, was unable to come to terms with his emotional problems.

Smethwick Coroner's Court heard the dead man told his uncle he was having problems with an ex-girlfriend.

He had threatened and attempted to kill himself on several occasions, Mr Balmain was told.

Mr Wade's mother, Vivienne Wade, described her son as "brilliant, the best".

Mr Balmain said Mr Wade died from multiple injuries and his death was a tragedy for all concerned.
