Mollie comes to the rescue of animals

Mollie Green

A BIRMINGHAM radio presenter is collecting food, chews, bones and blankets for the region's needy four-legged friends.

Mollie Green, who presents the early morning 5am to 7am breakfast show at BBC Radio WM, has been on the road all week collecting for four local animal rescue centres.

Mollie and the team will be out again today at Notcutts Garden Centre, Shirley.

Last year she raised more than £30,000 of donations, and this year received £50,000 of dog and cat food before the week of collecting even kicked off.

Mollie: "I'm so proud of the BBC WM Animal Appeal. I know what a difference it can make."
