Man injured after four-car pile up

A MAN was airlifted to hospital after a four-car pile up in the Midlands.

He suffered serious leg injuries but no one else was hurt in the accident on the A491 at Lydiate Ash, near Bromsgrove, yesterday.

A white Renault Master van, a white Ford Transit Tipper, a blue Ford Transit panel van and a red Vauxhall Zafira were all involved.

PC Mark Rowley, from North Worcestershire's Road Policing Unit, said: "We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact the police if they have not already done so.

"Equally if anyone noticed any of the vehicles involved immediately prior to the collision, then we would be interested in hearing from them."

Anyone with information can call police on 08457 444 888.
