Police track CCTV thieves

The CCTV thieves caught on camera

POLICE have today released a CCTV picture of two men they want to question - over the theft of a CCTV camera!

The security camera was taken from outside a house in Charlemont Road, Walsall, earlier this year.

Two thieves stole the camera from the front of the property and fled from the scene at around 4.15pm on February 23.

But they have managed to get these pictures from the tape of the camera that was actually stolen.

Officers are now appealing for anyone who knows the men or has any information about the theft to contact them immediately.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "Police have released CCTV images of two men they wish to speak to in connection with a theft from an address in Charlemont road, Walsall on February 23.

"The theft took place at approximately 4.15pm when the offenders stole a CCTV camera from the wall at the front of the property.

"The images attached are from the camera that was stolen.

"Anyone who has any information is asked to contact PC David Hollings, neighbourhood officer at Walsall police station, on 0845 114 5000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
