Fare deal for young shoppers at Oasis

Oasis manager Chris Thomas gives away free bus tickets.

AN INDOOR market in Birmingham is giving youngsters a ticket to ride during the summer holidays.

The city centre Oasis market has vowed to refund the bus or train fare of anyone under 18 who goes into the store, in a bid to drum up more business.

With thousands of children glued to their Playstations and TVs, the Oasis market is hoping to tempt the city's children out of their bedrooms.

Oasis manager Chris Thomas said: "Oasis has been a meeting place for Birmingham's kids for more than 30 years. We want to encourage the city's youngsters to get out in to the city centre. There are many free attractions and things to do that don't have to cost the earth, so with our travel for free offer you won't have to worry about the cost of getting in to town."

Oasis' travel for free offer lasts until the end of August. The shopping centre will reimburse 100 per cent of the fare or offer double in vouchers.
