Games ban for Wolves fan

A WOLVES fan who threw stones at police in an outbreak of violence after last season's Molineux game against Albion has avoided time behind bars.

Ian Dimmack was caught on camera among a group of 300 fans causing problems in Wolverhampton.

At Wolverhampton Crown Court, the 24-year-old admitted violent disorder and was given an eight-month jail term suspended for two years and made the subject of a two-year supervision order.

Dimmack, of Wodensfield Tower, Wednes-field, was further told to carry out 150 hours community punishment and barred from all football matches for three years.

Recorder Peter Carr told him people involved in football violence were normally sent straight into custody. But he added: "Since this offence you have begun to think more about your life."
