Pyjama girl claim riddle
POLICE today said there was "no evidence" to show a young girl was ever wandering around a Birmingham street in her pyjamas.
A member of the public phoned police at 4.48am yesterday claiming there was a six-year-old child in pyjamas and carrying a blanket in a distressed state around the Linden Road area of Cotteridge.
But a West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: "Officers have made thorough inquiries but there is no evidence to suggest a girl was out unaccompanied."
"No girls have been reported missing," the spokesman added.
