'Gunman' arrested in house raid

ARMED police surrounded a house in Oldbury after reports that a gun was brandished in an argument.

A team of firearms officers in full protective gear swooped on the house in Fisher Road, Rood End, at about 11pm yesterday and took a man away.

Det Insp Paul Homer, of Sandwell South CID, said today: "It appears that two men were involved in a heated argument in the area earlier, and there were reports that one brandished a handgun at the other.

"As a result we swooped on this house and a number of armed officers were involved in arresting the man. He is being questioned today."
