Stab victim abandoned at hospital

A YOUNG man dumped at hospital with serious stab wounds to the chest was today out of danger.

It today emerged the 20-year-old victim was critically wounded in the knife attack which took place at the Victoria Inn pub, in Bordesley Green.

He was dropped off to Heartlands Hospital by two men who immediately left the hospital grounds at 4am on Saturday.

Police said the man had recovered and was now sitting up in bed in a stable condition.

Detectives were today hoping to speak with him about the attack.

Det Insp Simon Vowles, from Stechford CID, appealed for anyone who witnessed the stabbing to come forward.

Police also want to trace the two men who dropped the victim at hospital. The men are described only as middle aged. One believed to be a black male, the other white.
