Six sets of twins for city nursery

IT'S double trouble six times over at a Birmingham nursery which has an amazing half a dozen pairs of twins, all under the age of four.

The dozen tiny terrors at Leapfrog Nursery, in St James Road, Edgbaston, range from one year old to three.

And with some being identical, staff at the busy nursery have a tough time keeping tabs on them all.

Debbie Mason, baby base room manager, said: "We've had three sets of twins before but never this many. We've just had phone calls from parents who are looking for places for another two pairs of twins, so we could end up with even more.

"On the whole twins seem to settle in well because they have each other and they usually play together when they first start. They only seem to get distressed when one is off sick."

And there's another incentive for parents who have double bundles of joy as they receive a 20 per cent discount off the fees for each twin.

The busy nursery can cater for up to 136 youngsters aged between two months and five years and currently has 100 children.

Katie and Chloe O'Sullivan, from Rowley Regis, are the oldest set of twins, aged three, followed by identical twins Megan and Alexis MacAdams-Rose, from Perry Barr, Eshan and Jayan Duggal, from Moseley, and Ethan and Sheryl Odulate, from Winson Green, who are all aged two.

Eighteen-month-old Tyler and Shanae Henry are from Smethwick and identical duo Sienna and Renee Henry, from West Bromwich, are about to celebrate their first birthdays this month.
