Double murder suspect Sukhdav Singh arrested in the West Midlands

Sukhdav Singh

A MAN wanted over the murders of two men whose bodies were found in a flat above a fish and chip shop has been arrested in the West Midlands.

West Mercia Police said Indian-born Sukhdav Singh, who is thought to have lived at the same address as the victims in the village of Shawbury, Shropshire, had been detained.

Singh, aged in his mid-20s, who worked at the chip shop, was thought to be in the Birmingham area or in neighbouring Smethwick and was thought to have been in contact with family members since his flatmates were found dead with head injuries last Friday.

Detectives have established the names of the victims, who were also aged in their 20s and originated from Punjab, but have yet to formally identify them.

The victims also worked at fish bars, one in Shawbury and the other in Shrewsbury.
