Memorial service for Warwickshire firefighters killed in warehouse blaze

A MEMORIAL service for the four firefighters who died in a warehouse blaze in Warwickshire is to be held at Coventry Cathedral next month.

People from across the county are expected to attend the service on January 25 to remember Darren Yates-Badley, John Averis, Ashley Stephens and Ian Reid.

The four men were killed as they fought a massive blaze at a vegetable-packing plant in Atherstone on Stour on November 2.

Hundreds of people attended their four separate funerals earlier this month.

An appeal has been launched to raise money to fund a "living memorial" to the firefighters. It will be used to buy equipment to help their colleagues save lives.

The memorial service will start at 2pm and last for around two hours.
