Drug dealer killers sentenced

FIVE gang members will be sentenced today for the murder of a drug dealer shot dead on an isolated farm track.

The killers, including a man previously convicted of murdering a soldier during a mugging, face mandatory life sentences after being found guilty last week of killing Kevin Nunes.

Mr Nunes, a 20-year-old amateur footballer from Wolverhampton, was found dead near Pattingham, south Staffordshire, on September 19, 2002.

Adam Joof, 27, from Willenhall, Antonio Christie, 28, from Great Bridge, Michael Osbourne, 28, and Owen Crooks, , 26, both from Wolverhampton, and Levi Solomon Walker, 28, from Birmingham, were found guilty of Mr Nunes' murder at Leicester Crown Court last Friday.

The jury which convicted the men was not told that Walker is already serving a life sentence for the murder of Narel Sharpe, a soldier shot dead in Smethwick, in September 2004.
