Family flee from pan fire
A FAMILY escaped serious injury when a fire broke out in their Birmingham home.
A man, a woman, their four-year-old daughter and baby girl suffered minor smoke inhalation after a chip pan caught fire in the kitchen of their flat above a shop, in Erdington High Street, last night.
A smoke alarm alerted the family, who had been in another room.
Fire crews from Erdington and Perry Barr tackled the blaze at 11.30pm.
