Cannock police hunt vandals

POLICE are searching for thugs who fired shots from an air gun and smashed a window.

Officers from Cannock police are appealing for witnesses, following an incident where a window was smashed at a shop, in Stafford Street, Heath Hayes, Cannock yesterday afternoon.

At 1pm, police were called to the scene after receiving a report of shots being fired, which officers believe may have been caused by an air weapon being used in the close vicinity.

PC Stephen Morris, from Cannock police, said: "No-one was hurt in the incident and we are urging anyone with information to contact us on 08453 302010 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."
