Teen stabbed in shops car park

A TEENAGER was left bleeding heavily after being stabbed in an attack near the Merry Hill shopping centre.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the giant Dudley centre just before 7.30pm last night.

A police spokesman said today that the victim, aged 18, suffered a stab wound to his leg.

He was bleeding badly and doctors were initially extremely concerned about his condition.

He has been detained at Russells Hall Hospital, Dudley, where he was said to be "serious but stable" today.

The spokesman said police were called to the ground level of the multi-storey green car park, near to BHS, at 7.25pm.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, or who may have any information to assist their inquiries.n
