Girl fights for life after smash

A YOUNG girl was left fighting for life in a Birmingham hospital after she was in collision with a car on a Midland road.

Paramedics were called to Zoar Street in Wolverhampton at around 12.30pm on Saturday after an eight-year-old girl was hit by a car.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The girl, a pedestrian, had suffered a fractured skull and was unconscious.”

He said she was flown to Birmingham Children's Hospital by air ambulance.
