Rush hour chaos after lorry crash

MOTORISTS faced chaos after a lorry overturned and shed its load on to a busy road.

The articulated wagon crashed as it turned off a roundabout on to the A38 Kingsbury Road, in Minworth, at lunchtime yesterday.

Hundreds of pieces of aluminium section were left blocking the eastbound A38 close to the roundabout and traffic was diverted while the metal and the lorry were recovered.

The road was reopened later in the day to ease the rush hour chaos.

The driver of the lorry, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
