Mother is cleared over death of baby son

Sarah-Louise Rose, who was cleared of any involvement in the death of her baby son.

A BIRMINGHAM mother has been acquitted of being involved in the violent death of her 15-month-old son.

It was alleged Sarah-Louise Rose (22) of Kempson Road, Bromford, turned a blind eye while her boyfriend battered the toddler.

But following legal submissions Mr Justice Treacy directed a jury at the City's Crown Court her not guilty of the manslaughter of Kamran Rose and a charge of allowing the death of a child.

The jury was then discharged and the judge ordered that her co defendant, Nicholas Kirnon (22), who has denied murdering the boy, should be retried.
