Plea over tragedy girl's gems
GRIEVING parents today appealed for help to trace sentimental items belonging to their dead teenage daughter which were stolen in a raid on their home.
The family, from Harborne, have been left heartbroken by the loss of "irreplaceable" jewellery worn by their 17-year-old daughter, who died last year.
Burglars broke into their home between 5pm and 9.30pm on March 12 taking sentimental belongings including an 18ct gold chain with three gold charms - a heart, a plaque with two fishes on it and a plaque with the head and shoulders of a child.
There was also a three colour 18ct gold bracelet in the shape of starfish and an 18ct 'snake' gold ring with a precious stone.
Anyone with information on the stolen jewellery should contact the burglary team at Rose Road Police Station on 0845 113 5000.
