Man held over hit and run death
A MAN has been arrested in connection with a suspected hit-and-run collision in which a 51-year-old newsagent was killed, said police today.
Father-of-six Mushraf Surti died from multiple injuries when he was struck by a vehicle in Broadway West, Walsall, on Monday.
Investigating officers detained a 53-year-old man on suspicion of causing his death by dangerous driving, said West Midlands Police.
He is currently helping them with their inquiries.
