Witnesses come forward over Stourport river death

Reginald Southall

NEW witnesses have come forward following an appeal for information about the murder of a lorry driver, detectives said today.

Reginald Southall, aged 63, was found dead in the River Severn at Stourport on December 16. A pathologist found that although the cause of death was drowning, he had sustained multiple injuries beforehand, consistent with being assaulted.

Police said there had been a “positive” response to the appeal.
