Pc Robin Haddock

THREE people, including a teenage girl, have appeared in court in connection with an incident last month in which a police officer was seriously injured at Bloxwich after being struck by a car.

Pc Robin Haddock, a father-of-four of Sutton Coldfield, is recovering in hospital after suffering a fractured skull following the incident.

Richard Fisher, 26, of Whistance Court, Sandwell Street, Walsall, Paul Sheldon, 25, of no fixed address, and a 16-year-old girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, all appeared before magistrates at Walsall on Saturday.

All are charged with aggravated vehicle taking in connection with the incident, which happened in Sneyd Lane, Bloxwich, on March 18.

Fisher and Sheldon were remanded in custody until April 18, when they will appear before the court via a video link.

The girl was remanded in the care of the local authority, again until April 18, with strict bail conditions applied.
