Driver cut free from vehicle

FIREFIGHTERS cut a woman free from her car which had overturned during an accident on a busy road.

The accident happened at the island on the junction of Kendrick Way and Telford Way, West Bromwich, near to Parcel Line Delivery Service, just after 1.15pm on Saturday. Fire crews used cutting equipment to release the woman, who is believed to be in her 20s, from the vehicle.

She was treated at the scene by paramedics for minor injuries but taken to Sandwell General Hospital for further assessment. The area was made safe and the cause of the incident is being investigated by police.
