Rosy outlook for visitors to square

VISITORS to Birmingham will today be handed a rose by none other than St George himself to promote the city's celebrations. Len Cale, of Birmingham's St Patrick's Day Festival organising committee, will be outside the council house in Victoria Square from 1pm to 2pm. The celebrations, from 12pm to 5pm, will also include face painting, puppet shows and rides.
