School hit by arson

VANDALS are believed to be responsible for a fire which damaged a school's technology classroom today.

The blaze broke out at Cradley High School in Homer Hill Road, Cradley Heath, at around 12.15am.

It appears windows were smashed for the offenders to gain entry and start the fire in the room.

The blaze caused some fire and smoke damage but this was confined to the room.

A spokesman for Cradley Heath fire station said: "Luckily the rest of the school was not affected and it should be able to operate as normal but they won't be able to use that room for a short while.

"It is being treated as a suspected arson attack as there were signs of a break-in."
