Suspects in killers hunt

POLICE today released images of two prime suspects in connection with the murder of a young father who was shot dead at a pub.

Luke Harris was killed in the early hours of Saturday March 15, at the Bagot Arms pub, in Whitmore Reans, Wolverhampton.

Suspects Leighton Ashley Cohen, 20, and Michael Soloman Stubbs, 21, are both from Wolverhampton.

Luke, aged 26, was shot once in the chest and died as a result of his injuries. He was the father of two young children, aged 15 months and five months.

Det Insp Simon Richards said: "I would urge anybody who might know the whereabouts of these men to get in touch with us.

"We believe these men have vital information regarding Luke’s death, and if anybody in the community has information on their whereabouts I would urge them to come forward.

"We appreciate that community members may be concerned about getting in touch with the police but we have provisions in place to protect anybody who can provide information."

Luke’s funeral will take place at 11am tomorrow, at Darlington Street Methodist Church, in Wolverhampton.

His heartbroken family called for calm in the wake of his death.

His mother Barbara Harris described her son as "loving and caring".

The murder, just before 2am, followed an argument at the Goalpost pub, near Wolves’ Molineux Stadium, about an hour earlier. Police said they believed Mr Harris got involved in the argument at about 12.30am before tragically moving on to the Bagot Arms.
