Murder probe man quizzed

A MAN was today being quizzed over the murder of a woman who was found dead at a house in Birmingham.

The body of the 23-year-old victim was found by police who were called to the house on Montague Road, Handsworth, on Tuesday.

A post-mortem examination carried out yesterday afternoon revealed she had died as a result of head injuries.

Police revealed the victim was an Indian national who was studying in the UK. She has yet to be formally identified.

A man who was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries was later discharged and arrested on suspicion of murder.

A police spokesman said the 24-year-old was helping officers with their inquiries.
