Two hurt as cars hit garden in Birmingham

TWO cars mounted a pavement and ploughed in to a front garden after a collision in Birmingham.

The two drivers, an 18-year-old man and a woman believed to be in her 20s, were treated at the scene after their vehicles crashed in Cattell Road, Hall Green, at about 5.50pm yesterday.

The female driver was trapped in her car for 40 minutes while paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service tried to free her.

She was treated for minor back and pelvic pains and taken to Selly Oak Hospital while the male driver was transferred to Heartlands Hospital for head injuries.

No one else was injured.
