Woman charged with murder after Shirley stabbing

A WOMAN has been charged with murder following a brutal stabbing in a leafy Midland street.

A passer-by in Berkeley Road, Shirley, spotted the tragic victim Emma Bradshaw lying in a pool of blood at around 8.15am on Wednesday.

The 30-year-old, who has not been named, had suffered multiple stab wounds to her chest and was taken to Heartlands Hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

West Midlands Police said the 31-year-old was today due to appear before magistrates Solihull accused of murder.

Police sealed off the area at the junction with Delrene Road as forensic experts and specialist search teams moved in to scour the scene for clues.

Police said they had found what is believed to be the murder weapon at the scene and it has now been sent off for forensic analysis.
