Middle Earth weekend is a monster hit
TROLLS, dragons, and monsters wowed the crowds at the legendary Tolkien Weekend.
A giant manwolf was also spotted at Moseley Bog as part of a special performance of the epic poem Beowulf.
Thousands braved the Saturday rain and enjoyed the Sunday sunshine for the free event, this year renamed Middle Earth Weekend.
Visitors also got to shoot arrows at monster targets on the archery range, look out for visiting dragons, watch a costume parade and enjoy storytelling.
Coun Ray Hassall, cabinet member for leisure, sport and culture, said: "The event provides a fascinating insight into the history of Sarehole Mill."
