Woman charged with murder after stabbing

A WOMAN has been charged with murder after a man was stabbed to death in Birmingham.

Police found the fatally wounded man when they were called to a house in Lower Ground Close, near Villa Park football ground in Aston, at 5pm on Sunday.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said the 25-year-old victim had suffered multiple stab wounds.

He was taken to hospital but he later died when doctors lost their battle to save his life.

A 28-year-old was arrested at the scene, initially on suspicion of assault, and taken to Queen's Road police station for questioning.

She was last night charged with murder following the man's death.

A police spokesman said the woman was due to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court today.
