Bootleg booze seizure

MORE counterfeit vodka at the centre of a health scare has been seized in Birmingham.

Customs Officers seized 62 bottles of bootleg Glen's vodka from an off-licence in the Sheldon area of Birmingham on Tuesday.

The came days after a man was rushed to hospital after drinking fake vodka spiked with methanol and police seized 120 bottles from a Northfield off-licence.

Jon Fisher, Excise Detection Manager for Revenue & Customs said: "We're pleased to have seized and stopped this counterfeit alcohol penetrating the streets of Birmingham and the wider West Midlands area.
