Man critically injured in city smash
A pedestrian was critically injured when he was hit by a car in Birmingham city centre.
West Ambulance Service crews were called to the incident at Livery Street, near Queensway, at 6.10am.
The man, believed to be in his 20s, suffered multiple injuries and was found semi-conscious, an ambulance spokesman said.
Crews worked to stabilise his condition at the scene before taking him to City Hospital.
