Birmingham ceremony honours Paralympians
PARALYMPIANS were honoured at a Midland event which marked their sporting achievements and success.
The holders of around a dozen paralympian medals and several world and European titles were involved.
They gathered for the 2008 npower Disability Sports Awards which were staged at Aston Villa FC.
Nigel Murray, winner of a Gold medal in Sydney for boccia, joined swimmers Nyree Lewis and Sascha Kindred along with wheelchair basketball bronze medallist Sinclair Thomas, to honour some the region's athletes.
