Man hurt by electric shock

A MAN was injured after suffering an electric shock and falling from a ladder while installing a satellite dish.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Valley Road, Cradley Heath, shortly before 10am yesterday.

An ambulance and a rapid response car were sent to the scene. The ambulance arrived within eight minutes of the 999 call.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "The man was installing a satellite dish when he suffered an electric shock from a power cable. He subsequently fell about three feet from the step ladder that he was on."

The man, believed to be in his 30s, was treated at the scene for a shoulder injury and lacerations to his hands.
