Man injured in Kings Heath car smash

A PEDESTRIAN was injured in a collision with a car in Birmingham.

The 20-year-old man was taken to Selly Oak Hospital following the accident in Vicarage Road, Kings Heath, shortly before 10am on Saturday.

Two crews from West Midlands Ambulance and a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle attended the scene of the incident.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "On arrival, crews found a very badly damaged car which had collided with a man aged 20.

"Fortunately, the pedestrian wasn't seriously hurt."
