Managers facing charges of theft
TWO store managers have appeared in court charged with theft and perverting the course of justice.
Sharon Kaur, 25, manageress of the Farm Foods store in Cape Hill, Smethwick, and Khalid Hussain, 26, manager of a sister store in Erdington, were remanded on conditional bail by Warley magistrates, sitting at Oldbury.
They are jointly charged with theft from the Farm Foods store at Smethwick and lying to police that the store was robbed of more than £7,000 on Sunday.
The case against Kaur, of Park Road, Smethwick, and Hussain, of Dora Street, Pleck, Walsall, was fast-tracked to Wolverhampton Crown Court. There will be a plea and directions hearing on September 23.
