Bonhams employees pose for photographs beside the very first production Jaguar D-Type

TWO CLASSIC Jaguar cars expected to fetch up to £6 million in auction have gone are on display at Bonhams auctioneers in London.

One, a Jaguar E2A built in 1960, and the car throught to represent the missing link between the iconic D-Type and E-Type models, is due to be sold of in California next month and could fetch up to £3.5 million alone.

Closer to home a two-seater sports racing D-Type will feature in Bonham’s Goodwood Festival of Speed sale in Sussex next week, where bidders can expect to pay around £2.5 million for the privilege of owning it.

The D-Type was in the collection of the late Nigel Moores, founder of Littlewoods, and is now owned by his son James.
