Man’s hand is crushed
A MAN was taken to hospital after his hand was crushed in an accident at a Birmingham skip hire firm.
Paramedics were called to Cherrington Skip Hire on Charles Henry Street in Highgate at 2.50pm yesterday.
An ambulance service spokeswoman said: “On arrival crews found a man who had suffered a severe crush injury to his hand.
“It is believed the man’s hand had been trapped between a skip lorry and a skip.“The man, believed to be in his 20s and an employee at the skip hire company, was treated at the scene before being transferred to Selly Oak Hospital.”
