Carnival fun for all in Bloxwich

Ellie-Louise Brookes, aged three, and Kyle-Reece Brookes enjoy themselves at Bloxwich Carnival.

THOUSANDS of revellers got into the carnival spirit at a regular family spectacular.

The Bloxwich festival is one of the biggest events in Walsall’s entertainment calendar and saw the King George V Playing Fields packed out on Saturday.

The festivities started with a lunchtime procession to Promenade Gardens travelling along High Street, along Field Road and Lichfield Street.

Entertainment at the playing fields included eight foot talking Titan the Robot and the Stannage International Stunt Team. Carnival queen Samantha Footman, aged 17, was crowned on the day.

This year’s event had a health theme and was supported by Walsall Primary Care Trust and Walsall Council’s parks development team.
