Dead man by railway line

INVESTIGATIONS were continuing today after a man was found dead on a railway line in the Black Country.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to a location near Rowley Regis railway station, shortly after 9.10am on Friday.

A paramedic in a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance crew, an incident support officer and the County Air Ambulance from Cosford attended.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews were called to the railway line, approximately half a mile from Rowley Regis station, heading towards Stourbridge.

“It was there that the body of a man was found and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
