Shots fired in Birmingham shop raid
POLICE sealed a Birmingham road after reports of a gunman opening fire in the area.
Officers were called to Formula 1 Auto Parts, in Nursery Road, Lozells, at around 1pm today.
A police spokesman said: “It is believed shots have been fired.
“We’re currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident
“Roads in the area have been closed.
“No injuries have been reported.”
It was the second time the road had been shut off by police following a firearms incident in a week.
On Tuesday last week parents dropping off children at Anglesey Junior School were met by a police cordon after an armed robbery on a convenience store in the street.
No-one was hurt, but the area was sealed off for forensic examination.
