Man held over Redditch lead theft

POLICE in Redditch arrested a man believed to be stealing lead from the town’s Hewell Road swimming pool.

The member of the public spotted two men shortly before 1am on Tuesday removing lead from underneath roof tiles.

The pair fled as police arrived and a substantial amount of lead was recovered nearby.

A man in his 20s was arrested nearby.
